S.W.A.G. PROGRAM

Students Working to Achieve Greatness

The Students Working to Achieve Greatness (S.W.A.G.) Program is designed to assist at-risk, out-of-school, Henry County youth, ages 16 – 24 with the skills, resources, and academics necessary to be successful in the workforce. S.W.A.G. is the only provider in Henry County to offer free services and testing to high school dropouts.  In addition to our GED classes and regular programs, we also provide certified career pathway occupational training.

Classes are held, Monday – Wednesday, 9:00 AM to 12:50 PM and Thursday, 9:00 AM to 11:50 AM.*  During these times, participants will be provided with occupational skills training, leadership development, drug and alcohol training, and financial literacy workshops.

Along with attending GED classes, we offer qualified participants with paid Work Experience (WEx) opportunities with businesses in the community. We introduce our students to industries they may have an interest in, leading them to develop the soft skills required for positive employment results.

For additional information, please call 770.288.6230.

* Due to COVID-19, the S.W.A.G. Program is offering a hybrid learning environment. Participants can choose to do 100% remote instruction or attend face-to-face instruction two days a week. Instructional hours have also been adjusted to 10:00 a.m. to 11:50 a.m.
